Your role:
The Senior Manager Applications&Project Engineering Systems&Solutions (S+S) is leading the Application & Project Engineers for industrial and scientific vacuum systems & solutions.
As a multi-branded manager, you ensure an excellent proposal management and project engineering to fulfill and exceed the expectation of our customers and stakeholders. You ensure sustainability and diversity in the orders and support the diversification on customer segments served.
It's key to support the growth and profitability of the Industrial and Scientific Vacuum Divisions by driving our standardized and configured S+S product portfolio. With your best in class application know how, you ensure highest customer value.
Furthermore, you closely cooperate with the different departments, brands, divisions even production companies (PC) to enable the required results.
In your role, you have a strong impact to develop the Application & Project Engineering group to a resilient, customer centric organization with an entrepreneurial culture within a globally networking team. You sharpen and execute a long-term strategic plan to expanding the systems and solutions business for both divisions.
Main responsibilities:
- Guide and empower the Proposal & Project Engineering team for growth through technical excellence and professional development.
- Develop precision tools for effective request control, strategically scheduling teams, and optimizing inquiry management.
- Ensure seamless, cost-effective processing of customer orders, conducting analyses for profitability and efficiency improvements, and supporting your team in order processing.
- Be the conduit for market insights, collaborating with sales on strategic opportunities, and maintaining material numbers meticulously.
- Engineer optimizations for existing processes, adapting seamlessly to evolving ERP structures.
- Evaluate CE risk analyses with precision, signing off and filing compliance documentation in SAP.
- Represent S+S in resolving challenges related to pumping and vacuum systems, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Develop maintenance proposals and spare parts lists with a focus on efficiency.
- Engineer and implement strategies for enhanced sales and profitability, monitoring and controlling strategic projects with an entrepreneurial mindset.

To succeed, you will need:
- Degree (Bachelor's/Master's) in an engineering or economic discipline
- 5+ Years experience in vacuum pump engineering/design/applications
- Experience in magaging projects and teams
- Project management, conflict management, motivational skills, negotiation skills, very good German and English skills
