Field Services Engineer – IRE - start a journey of endless opportunities

As a Field Service Technician you are our brand ambassador and our face towards our customers within the Ireland region. Your main responsibility will be to provide best in class field service and support at our customer sites, and represent our pioneering Leybold brand.  You will carry out repairs and maintenance on industrial equipment, acquisition of assignments, perform leakage testing and troubleshooting at customer site.  Ideally you will be located in Clonmel or towards the West of Ireland.

Reporting into the Service Manager for Ireland, you will be empowered to make a difference whilst also given the support and opportunity to develop your skills. 

Responsibilities include;

  • Delivering the best service at customer locations - including all service activities from repairs through to leak testing as well as preventative maintenance
  • Proactively build-up customer relationships and identifying business opportunities whilst being on site so we remain “First in mind- First in choice”
  • Providing technical support in the form of troubleshooting either by phone, email or on site – keeping the customer informed at all times
  • Sharing lessons learnt to enhance personal knowledge, promote knowledge-sharing and to foster teamwork and collaboration amongst colleagues
  • Work according to the company's safety guidelines 100% safety 100% of the time

What we expect from you:

Essential

  • Advanced certificate in a science or engineering related subject
  • Willing to travel to customer sites and to our onsite workshop in Wexford
  • Able to build strong relationships with customers
  • Comfortable in F2F interactions with the customers and service minded
  • Able to work autonomously with a solution focused mindset
  • Shows initiative, agility and integrity - open and approachable
  • Customer orientated and reliable

Nice to haves:

  • Bachelor university degree (Level 7) preferable but not essential
  • Some professional experience as service technician ideally in vacuum technology desirable
  • Technical expertise, combining mechanical and electrical components
  • Technical and application knowledge, ability to constantly learn and develop
  • Excellent communication skills to work at all levels within an organization
