Leybold Vacuum Pumps and RGAs for the R&D and laboratory industry in Australia

This page features a selection of popular vacuum pumps and RGAs that may be of interest to you.

Please note that these are not the full range of offerings available from Leybold. If you require additional products or services not listed here, feel free to contact us for a comprehensive solution tailored to your needs.

Leybold in a nutshell

We enable precise, innovative, economical and sustainable manufacturing of vacuum solutions and services.

Pioneering products. Passionately applied.

A large part of our solutions is widely used in major research institutes, national laboratories, universities and scientific instrument manufacturers.

Helping science improve our lives.

With our long history, of collaborations over the last decades, we are able to provide the necessary vacuum expertise, experience and great equipment to help you meet your goals.

Our systems can be found in material sciences, optical coatings, high-energy physics, surface analytics, and nuclear research environments that require High to Ultra-High Vacuum conditions. These areas include Particle Accelerators, Gravitational Wave, Detectors, Synchrotrons, and Large Space Simulators (LSS).

UNIVEX coating systems

Well established for experimental coating and thin film deposition applications in university, industrial research adn pilot production, they vary from:

  • Box coating systems
  • Globe box systems
  • Cluster tools
  • Customised solutions

Our UNIVEX systems are equipped with vacuum components made by Leybold. Choose from a wide range of backing pumps (either dry or oil-sealed), high vacuum pumps (eg turbomolecular or cryogenic pumps), for a perfect fit for a range of chamber sizes and applications.

With this, a reliable vacuum environment is achieved for the physical vapor deposition (PVD) process of thin film coating. This is suitable for all manner of processes including evaporation sources (thermal, e-beam, or organic), sputtering sources, a range of substrate treatment (eg heating, cooling) and much more.

Residual Gas Analyzer (RGA)

A residual gas analyzer detects very small traces of contaminants or process gases. Leybold has a few RGA products to fit your needs.

LEYSPEC: All-in-one RGA for simple and intuitive operation

Highly sensitive, the LEYSPEC has product ranges for 100, 200, and 300 amu.

It supports bake out temperatures of up to 300 ° C in harsh environments as well.

LEYSPEC Cart: Mobile RGA

The LEYSPEC Cart carries a fully integrated differential pumping system for maximum flexibility and easy handling.

It's a completely independent pumping system that is easily adaptable to a wide range of measurement tasks, with rapid operational readiness and operability at various pressures.

TURBOVAC MAG

These magnetically levitated turbo pumps are designed to be maintenance-free, compact, versatile, and clean, while generating minimal vibration.

They are specifically tailored for sensitive applications, including:

  • Coating processes: Ideal for manufacturing glass lenses, medical devices, aerospace components, and solar panels.

  • Scientific research: Their clean, vibration-free operation makes the TURBOVAC MAG series a preferred choice for delicate research environments, such as mass spectrometry and electron microscopy.

  • Industrial applications: Built for reliability and robust performance, these pumps help maintain production efficiency. Their high-quality construction and reduced wear-and-tear make them well-suited for demanding industrial settings.

TURBOVAC MAG 2807 iS and 3207 iS

The stator and rotor blades are suspended and stabilized by electromagnets, eliminating the need for oil-lubricated bearing systems.

Advantages of this pump:

  • Minimal wear and maintenance: Reduced maintenance intervals and no need for oil or lubricated bearing cartridge replacements.

  • Ultra-low noise and vibration: Ideal for applications requiring a clean, dry, hydrocarbon-free vacuum environment.

  • High-performance operation: Delivers impressive pumping speeds of up to 3,200 l/s.

  • Compact and versatile design: The smallest mag turbo pump in the 3000 l/s class—under 60 kg, highly portable, and capable of being mounted in any orientation.
