Oil sealed pumps
Leybold TRIVAC B oil sealed double stage vane pumps are well known and being used in all areas of vacuum engineering and are equally suited for both industrial production and research applications. The TRIVAC B pumps, used to generate a rough and medium vacuum or as backing pumps in pump combinations with Roots vacuum pumps or high vacuum pumps, have the ability of pumping down from the atmosphere.
The TRIVAC B pump excels with a high vacuum performance by delivering a low ultimate pressure and high water vapor tolerance with an integrated gas ballast. With a low noise level and low vibration, TRIVAC B pumps do not add to the noise in your working environment. The well-proven robust design with low thermal losses and air-cooled design makes the TRIVAC B pumps portable and compact. A comprehensive range of accessories and variants are available to offer a complete solution to meet the requirements of your applications.
The TRIVAC B range is available in six different sizes with an ultimate pressure of 10-4 mbar and a pumping speed in the range of 4 m3/h to 65 m3/h:
TRIVAC B pumps use oil, injected into the pump chamber, for sealing, lubrication and cooling of the pump. The lubrication system is rated for continuous operation at high intake pressures (max. 1000 mbar abs.). This leads to the capability of being used in a versatile manner from atmospheric down to ultimate pressure. The oil carried with the process gas is separated in the oil box.
A wide range of accessories include various types of exhaust filters capable of trapping fine oil mist, which is then transported with the process gas. The option of adding an oil return system completes the modular TRIVAC B range by supplying the filtered oil back into the pump.
The TRIVAC B range has been designed for an extended uptime and high robustness. The inner body is assembled from individual parts without sealing components. The parts are pinned in order to ensure an easy reassembly of the parts.
The TRIVAC B pumps are equipped with an anti-suckback valve, which is located in the intake of the pumps. The valve is hydraulically controlled by the oil pressure and closes very fast during a pump standstill. This prevents the pressure from rising in the vacuum chamberwhile the pump is vented. Additionally, it minimizes the backstreaming of the oil into the chamber.
The TRIVAC B sizes D16B to D65B have an integrated ducted cooling with an additional fan, directly driven by the motor. This feature allows the TRIVAC B to operate at a constant temperature and have a high water vapor tolerance.
The smart design of the TRIVAC B pumps reduces vibration born noises to a minimum. All sizes are equipped with low noise motors, which are linked to the pump unit by an elastic coupling to avoid additional noise on the work floor.
All TRIVAC B pumps are equipped with an integrated oil pump that ensures oil-lubrication independent from the inlet pressure. The pumps are therefore capable of constant operation at 1000mbar. Continuous lubrication creates a large effective oil reservoir, which benefits from a safe operation of the pumps even with minimum oil level.
