Central vacuum stations
Delivering custom solutions for your vacuum system requirements
In demanding applications in which an interruption-free vacuum is required for multiple chambers, central vacuum stations (CVS) from Leybold ensure continuous availability.
Central vacuum systems are frequently used in those cases where a large number of minor requirements for vacuum needs to be economically covered. Moreover, the vacuum systems serve the purpose of compensating for large variations in the number of vacuum consumers and increase the availability of the vacuum service.
Leybold central vacuum systems consist chiefly of one or more SOGEVAC rotary vane vacuum pumps, a buffer vessel, an electrical cabinet with controller as well as the corresponding connection components. The systems are supplied by us fully assembled, tested as plug and play units.

Performance
Performance for various sectors
Our time-tested SOGEVAC rotary vane pumps are ideal for these processes because they are capable of covering widely differing demands. The pumps reliably meet the list of requirements in terms of operating pressure, cycle time and system availability for all applications – even in difficult production conditions.
Our central vacuum system can be tailored precisely to customized processes as a result of the modular design of the SOGEVAC systems. The space-saving, low maintenance system solutions convince their users by their ease-of-use, good price-performance ratio and low running costs.
Ready for operation
Ready for operation through large buffer volume
With their large buffer volume, our turnkey central vacuum stations also ensure rapid operational readiness and short cycle times. The typical working pressure ranges from 0.5 to 500 mbar.
RTM sample application
RTM sample application
In addition to typical laboratory applications with multiple chambers and the thermoforming of industrially manufactured pharmaceuticals, CVS are also used for RTM. The supply of different vacuum levels is essential for this manufacturing process for composite materials. For example, the resin injection process requires a vacuum to seal the mold while at the same time an adjustable vacuum level is also required for the resin impregnation. In particular the SOGEVAC central vacuum systems provide the capacity and reliability required to ensure success in such demanding production conditions.
SOGEVAC Central Vacuum Stations cover the demands of numerous small vacuum consumers, increasing the availability of the vacuum service. They provide the essential performance and reliability to succeed under challenging production conditions.
CVS are plug and play solutions, typically consisting of up to 3 SOGEVAC pumps, buffer vessel, manual or electropneumatic valve, dust filter at the pump inlet, pressure gauge and controller, electrical cabinet with controller and all connecting components. These modular systems can be provided with 1 to 3 pumps depending on the process requirements. They prevent from oil emissions and noise in the production area, providing better working conditions.
