We're Finalists!
We are thrilled to have been named finalist for Employer of the year at the prestigious Central South Business Awards 2024.
The category, sponsored by City of Portsmouth College, recognises a business that has created a healthy and supportive work environment with a genuine commitment to the wellbeing of its employees.
The Central South Business Awards celebrate the exceptional achievement so businesses across the region, acknowledging those businesses and individuals that have gone above and beyond, achieving great results, inspiring others and demonstrating best practice.
"The nomination alone recognises the beginning of our journey in becoming a great place to work," says Sarah Cogswell, HR Manager. “We promote a culture of lifelong learning, continuous feedback and self-development to enable people’s potential. All employees have a ‘mission’ (which includes performance and development goals) and take part in our Performance Enablement cycle.”
Focus areas over the past 12 months to make Leybold a “Great Place to Work” include:
- Development of our early careers framework and outreach plan with local colleges, and we currently have two engineering apprentices and one digital apprentice within the business.
- Embed continuous development framework into the appraisal system where individuals are responsible for their own personal growth.
- A commitment to 40 hour of self-requested learning per year
