Leybold’s safety culture, working practices and technical support is recognised by Toyota Manufacturing UK for helping to achieve a safe and successful Summer Shutdown 2023.
Over the last few years Toyota Manufacturing UK have held recognition events to recognise high contribution to their Health & Safety Culture to achieve a safe and successful shutdown. Each year the shops are asked to nominate a company to be recognised, and this year Leybold were selected by Assembly shop, most notably for:
The recognition event took place on 28th September where Rick Noble and Jonathon Dobb, members of the UK Service Team who support Toyota on site, were there to accept the certificate from Alan Weir, Director of Production Operations.

“We are delighted to have been recognised by Toyota for Safety Excellence,” said Paul Carroll, Leybold UK Service Manager. “At Leybold safety is 100 percent of our behaviour 100 percent of the time, which means working with everyone, including, employees, customers, suppliers and distributors, to drive a safety-first culture.”
Jonathon and Rick have provided on-site field service support to Toyota for the past two years, this includes annual service of their vacuum equipment as well as any breakdown maintenance and technical support. With many customers during shutdown there are standard processes which need to be followed to ensure not only a safe shutdown, but also to ensure when the vacuum equipment is restarted there are no issues and production can continue as planned. Leybold service teamwork with customers to really understand their processes and the impact vacuum has on their production to ensure maximum up-time and a consistent reliable performance throughout the pump’s lifecycle.
