Leybold win Best Organisation Culture 2023
Leybold celebrate their commitment in making Leybold a “Great Place to Work” and win at the LAB Awards 2023 in the Best Company Culture category.
Leybold UK, have won Best Organisation Culture at the 2023 LAB Awards. The award recognises outstanding commitment to the enhancement of equality, diversity and inclusion within the workforce. Leybold demonstrated evidence of Diversity & Inclusion policies, rewards and recognition programmes, retention rates and regular, meaningful communication with employees to achieve the award.
Leybold over the last three years worked across the team to drive a positive culture with a theme of inclusivity, where everyone feels they have a part to play in making Leybold a “Great Place to Work”.
The judges said this was an excellent submission which showcases a culture where employees feel empowered and engaged"". Highlighted through their VIBE Campaign which shows their commitment to inclusivity and a positive culture!
Ian Dorman, General Manager Leybold EMEA N&E, says: "The fact that we have received the award in this category in particular is a special recognition of our efforts in these areas and means a lot to the entire team." Leybold promotes a safe place for employees to learn and develop to their full potential. The vacuum specialist strives to ensure that employees can fully engage at work and are free from judgement or prejudice. "Over the past year, we have put a lot of effort into making our company a 'Great Place to Work' to achieve this", adds HR Manager Sarah Cogswell.
Focus areas over the past 12 months to make Leybold a “Great Place to Work” include:
- Early careers plan: building an early careers talent network through local college partnerships
- Culture Team: implementing people-led activities which focus on inclusion and engagement
- Learning: a culture of lifelong learning, continuous feedback and self-development to enable people’s potential
The winners were announced at the Awards Dinner on 1st November 2023, which took place at The Vox Birmingham, where Debbie Thompson, Courney Orlik and Thomas Cowan from Leybold were presented the award. The event coincided with the Advanced Engineering and Lab Innovations Exhibition at the neighbouring Birmingham NEC where Leybold had a stand.
