It’s a hat-trick for Leybold at the Composites UK Awards after winning Employer of the Year 2023.  This is the third year running Leybold have been recognised for their commitment to building a culture of lifelong learning, constructive feedback and self-development to enable people’s full potential. 

Leybold UK, have won Employer of the Year 2023 of the Composites UK Trade Association.  The award for Employer of the Year is designed to acknowledge and celebrate employers’ commitment to developing their workforce through apprenticeships or training.   The Industry Association wishes to recognise the effort being made by companies investing in their employees and being committed to developing their workforce.

  • Companies entering this award have demonstrate:
  • Commitment to in house or external training.
  • Identification of training needs.
  • Internal appraisals and goal setting for employees
  • Links to education establishments securing apprentices/trainees.

Focus areas over the past 12 months to make Leybold a “Great Place to Work” include:

  • Early careers plan: building an early careers talent network through local college partnerships
  • Culture Team: implementing people-led activities which focus on inclusion and engagement
  • Learning: a culture of lifelong learning, continuous feedback and self-development to enable people’s potential

Leybold focusses on creating an open, caring and inclusive environment, where people are able to bring their whole self to work, free from any negative judgements or biases, and to feel like they belong.  

The winners were announced at the Awards Dinner on 1st November 2023, which took place at the National Motorcycle Museum, where Rick Faulker and Craig Williams, from Leybold, were presented by award by Jen Hill from Longworth, on behalf of the sponsor Minden Dust Extraction Systems. The event coincided with the Advanced Engineering Show at the neighbouring Birmingham NEC where Leybold had a stand.
