Entry requirements

LT Level 1

The trainings provide theoretical and practical fundamentals of the leak test and comprise knowledge of pressure gas methods as well as test gas methods.

Entry requirements for the LT1 level examination: Proof of a total of 48h of training in the methods mentioned above (one hour equals 60 minutes). The day of examination E1Z is not part of the training time.

Prior to the examination, a certificate proving the minimum experience time in sector LT as well as a close vision capability certificate must be submitted.


LT Level 2

Apart from physical and vacuum-related basics, these trainings also provide the structure and functional principle of vacuum pumps, vacuum gauges and their usage. The LT2 preparation training deepens the knowledge of advanced rule books for pressure gas methods and test gas methods.

Entry requirements for the LT2 level examination in case of direct entry (i.e. without LT1 certification):Proof of a total of 120h of training (one hour equals 60 minutes). This includes the training times for LA + E1. The day of examination E2Z is not part of the training time.

The application for certification must be submitted to the Sector Cert GmbH within two years after the passed qualification ex¬amination even if the required experience times have not yet been attained.

  • E1 Leak test Level LT 1. Training for examination acc. to DIN EN ISO 9712

    Target group: Candidates for the preparation of examinations LT1 and / or LT2 according to DIN EN ISO 9712

    Seminar goal: Deepen the theoretical and practical leak detection and prepare the exam according to DIN EN ISO 9712

    Topics:

    • General part:
      - Terminology and definitions, units of measurement, gas laws,
        standard helium leak rate
      - Theoretical fundamentals of vacuum technology
      - Test gas leak detection and pressure gas
      - Test exam for exercising
       
    • Special part:
      - Standards: DIN EN 1593, 13184, 13185
      - Pressure gas leak detection (bubble test, immersion method, film method, vacuum box)
      - Pressure change method (pressure increase, pressure decrease, flow)
      - Test gas leak detection (helium)
      - Partial flow method
      - Sniffer leak detection
      - Test detection for exercising
      - Preparation for examination (taking minutes)

    The participant works on the relevant standards and completes two theoretical test examinations. During the practical leak detection, test protocols are being prepared for exercise purposes.

    Previous knowledge: Knowledge of how to operate leak detection equipment, Knowledge of how to operate a scientific calculator is expected.
