Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, release and maintain control systems, soft sensors, predictive algorithms and data driven models based on machine learning and modern control theories

- Follow up and support related lab testing and perform ad-hoc software adaptations on running laboratory pumps

- Perform data mining on the installed field base and turn it into valuable information for Marketing, Sales, Engineering and other stakeholders

- Support project teams worldwide with implementing data driven technologies and complex algorithms into their products

- Support integration of Internet-of-things cloud platforms and edge devices and develop market-ready data driven solutions for customers and internal stakeholders (VTS, Marketing)

- Stay-up-to-date with developments in the field of modern control systems, data science and predictive algorithms. Scout competitors and other industries for usable technologies

- Collaborate with external data science consultants, embedded system engineers, Internet-of-Things integrators and connectivity specialists

We expect

- Master in Engineering, Computer Sciences, Mathematics or equivalent

- Minimum 5 years experience in a software development environment and proven results

- Knowledge of rotating machinery, electrical drive systems, electronics, fieldbus communication and thermodynamics in pumps

- Experience with software development in Python, R, C or C++ or

Experience with databases such as SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop

- Strong interest in Data Science, Big Data, Internet-of-things, control system development,...

- Experience with the Atlas Copco way of working and core competences

- Fluent in German and English. Other languages can be a benefit
