As a cutting machine operator, you use cutting processes such as turning, milling and grinding to produce precision metal components. You will work on ultra-modern CNC machine tools and machining centres that are computer-controlled. In our training workshop we will prepare you comprehensively for this demanding profession.

What you can expect from us
In 3.5 years, you will complete a qualified apprenticeship in a modern industrial training occupation in which you can demonstrate your manual skills and technical understanding.
During the first two months you will learn the basic skills at the workbench and on the drill. Following the basic training, you will learn the basic skills of conventional turning and milling.
In preparation for your deployment in the specialist departments, you will be systematically trained in the use of our modern CNC lathes and milling machines. You will be instructed in creating programs and production documents, setting up and equipping machines, processing and optimizing programs, carrying out final inspections and checking the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of the products. You will learn all these basics in our in-house training workshop in conjunction with the specialist departments in our modern production plant.
