SOGEVAC Vacuum Pump Oil and Filter Replacement
Simple oil and filter changes to keep your vacuum pump performing like a pro!
This page explains how to change the oil and filter on your Leybold SOGEVAC SV55-70 BI² vacuum pump, helping maintain its performance.
This tutorial should be used alongside the instruction manual (301256888).
Why is regular vacuum pump maintenance important?
Struggling with the vacuum parts, increased noise, or bad vacuum performance with your oil-sealed rotary vane pump? Most of these problems are caused and can easily be prevented by a regular oil and filter change. Pure and clean oil supports the high functionality of the vacuum pump and safeguards it against potential damage.
Over time, vacuum oil can become contaminated with particles and moisture, diminishing its lubricating properties and leading to increased wear on the internal components of the vacuum pump. By routinely changing the oil and filter, you effectively remove harmful build-up within the system, thereby reducing the risk of pump inefficiency or failure.
Why is it important to change the vacuum oil?
Oil changes its properties over time if not properly stored or sealed. So, a pump may require an oil change even if it has not been used for a long period. Keep your vacuum pump and your production running smoothly with Leybold vacuum pump oil.
