  • Develop, implement and monitor a global business growth strategy in the markets in accordance to the Divisional strategy for all brands with suitable brand differentiation measures.
  • Provide Market intelligence by identifying and evaluating market access and  business expansion strategies by means of market, customer and competitor analysis.
  • Provide market specific product requirements to the PC to ensure that product development projects meets the market and customer needs.
  • Ensure market specific know-how transfer to the Customer Centres and support key sales activities.
  • Define a suitable marketing mix (4P - Product-Price-Promotion-Place) for the brands in specific markets and regions and support appropriate marketing activities.

Main responsibilities:

Market Strategy:

  • Development, implementation and execution of a global business strategy in certain markets with a suitable brand positioning in alignment with the specific brand promises
  • Alignment and review of market-specific business development plans with the sales organizations /customer centres, incl. e.g. action plans, key accounts / target and focus customers

Market Research / Market Intelligence / Market Analysis:

  • Identification of current / new market potentials and customer needs, research future market and applications / technology trends and evaluate market access and expansion strategies
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors (activities, strategic move), identify and develop the brand’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
  • Explore and analyze economic and market data, industry indicators and other market related parameter by using internal and external sources and algorithms to identify attractive markets and conclude market trends
  • Attend industry functions, such as trade shows, association events and conferences,
  • Screens potential business deals (M&A) by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements and potential

Market Support:

  • Support of key sales activities, projects & customers
  • Securing of market-specific know-how transfer and corresponding trainings for the sales organizations


  • Define a suitable marketing mix for the brands in specific markets and regions with appropriate sales channels (4P-Product- Price- Promotion- Place)
  • Initiate and support appropriate marketing activities for selected markets / applications, especially digital marketing campaigns
  • Monitor market pricing levels and provide pricing guidelines for the sales organizations


  • Evaluation and definition of the market specific requirements for new product developments / product roadmap
  • Supporting the market introduction of products


  • Degree or higher level qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years working experiences
  • Excellent knowledge of products and their fit in the market place
  • Excellent understanding of vacuum markets, based on wide experience within the market, especially R&D or adjacent markets
  • Excellent understanding of the market technology and longterm trends, especially R&D or adjacent markets
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills- Entrepreneurial spirit, Visionary, Strong customer oriented attitude
  • Collaboration Skills- Networking, Teamworking
  • Negotiation & Persuasion skills- Diplomatic, Persuasion, Motivation
  • Excellent knowledge of products and their fit in the market place

  • Moderate other travel anticipated – to global Customer Centres and Service Centres, as well as to end-customers

Location: Cologne or Burgess Hill based but willing to spend significant amounts of time in either location
